With an impeccable reputation and years of experience, FHM is not just an exhibition, it’s a one-of-a-kind gathering for everyone in the food, beverage and hospitality industry.

The Centre’s General Manager, Alan Pryor

According to the Centre’s General Manager, Alan Pryor, “We are delighted to be partnering with Culinaire Malaysia once again. This competition will help us elevate our culinary offerings even further, and will benefit young talent and Malaysia’s vibrant culinary scene. This event is an important platform for them to gain valuable experience, exposure, inspiration and interact with the best of the best, engaging in a friendly competition to showcase their creative and adaptable techniques to deliver the latest innovations in the culinary world.”

“A huge congratulations to the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) and Professional Culinaire Association of Malaysia (PCA) on reaching the 15th edition of FHM and 14th Culinaire Malaysia. We have enjoyed collaborating over the years to reach this important milestone together, and we wish them every success and another memorable event,” Pryor concluded.

Packed with conference programmes, technical seminars, educational talks, cooking demonstrations and displays of various types and ranges of products and services FHM 2019 promises to be bigger and better. The four-day event will cover 22,000sqm of space at the Centre with 1,500 participating brands and companies from 50 countries and is expected to draw over 28,000 visitors from around the world.

The Centre’s Executive Chef, Hisham Jaafar

The Centre’s Executive Chef, Hisham Jaafar, added, “We are thrilled to have 40 team members competing in Culinaire Malaysia this year, which is the sixth time we have entered a team into the competition. Most of our team members this year are junior chefs and ‘Ambassadors’ (part-timers), who have undergone coaching by past Culinaire Malaysia winners to prepare them for the competition, and we hope this will help us to build on our previous outstanding performances.”

He continued, “These Ambassadors have been loyal and hard-working throughout their time with us and Culinaire Malaysia provides the perfect avenue for us to give back to them by enhancing their professional skills and exposing them to what it takes to work in today’s fast-paced kitchen environment. For the Centre, it is important that we continue to develop young talent not only for us, but for the local business events and hospitality industries as well.”
