Something out of a film set
Schloss Maria Loretto is a stately home built in 1652, which sits on its own peninsula on the magical turquoise waters of lake Wörthersee in Klagenfurt. It is one of the most idyllic locations on the shores of lake Wörthersee, providing the perfect setting for a dinner, networking session or a private luxurious gathering. The castle can be rented as a whole for special events, including the castle gardens, or for a luxury dinner opportunity when you need to impress business partners. It is an upscale setting with a cozy vibe, reachable by foot, car or by boat.

Designed as the summer getaway for Count Johann Andrä von Rosenberg, the castle underwent extensive renovation in 2008, returning the 18th-century structure to its former stylish glory.

Adding to the castle’s offer is the Maria Loretto Restaurant, which has been running since 1978. As you enjoy a pleasant drink and good company on the castle terrace, you are able to gaze out across the lake and take in a glorious sunset. At the restaurant out on the peninsula diners can savor a selection of outstanding dishes along with the romantic shoreline ambience itself. Below the castle is Maria Loretto chapel, a replica of the “mother” of all Loretto chapels, Maria Loretto in Ancona. Maria-Loretto swimming beach lies right next to Schloss Loretto.
