In order to tell the tale of the original and authentic local values, the restaurant tells its story. It does this through the architecture – its traditional and rustic style reflects the influences of the surroundings, and through the many subtle details that give it a pleasant, homey atmosphere. The interior is inspired by the natural surroundings, with the use of natural materials such as stone and wood, with warm, earth-tone walls.
The restaurant at Stancija Kovačići offers three smaller rooms, with a capacity of up to 70 people. The terrace seats 40 and ensures a relaxed atmosphere during the hot summer days and pleasant evenings, overlooking the picturesque landscape of the small town and surrounded by the fragrances of the Mediterranean herbs: lavender, rosemary, basil and laurel.
Stancija also offers five rooms for the accommodation of guests, overlooking the nearby hills of Učka Nature Park, with a multitude of hiking trails. Stancija Kovačići is an excellent base to explore the entire Kvarner region: it is near the sea and the urban centres of Opatija and Rijeka, and far enough from the bustle of the city, slightly hidden and off the beaten track, with a dose of mystery.
