Symbolically and technologically, the Helmut List Halle in Graz, Austria, represents both the past and the future, expressed in an exceptional way. This venue was built in collaboration with steirischer herbst, styriarte, Graz 2003 – cultural capital of Europe and the private investor AVL List, an Austrian-based automotive consulting firm and research institute. The former old factory building was transformed into an arts centre of the highest standard by architect Markus Pernthaler.
Because of its boasting acoustics, Helmut List Halle is one of the most unique event venues in Austria. The event venue provides you with nearly endless flexibility to perfectly and exquisitely host any performance you can imagine. Whether it’s theatre performances, classical music, conferences or an electronic music festival, the unique, multi-function building can change its internal profile to provide the perfect environment in any possible way. This merging of science and art makes the building a key cultural venue in Graz and a world-class venue for any kind of performance. But…who says there should be any limits to the imagination? The equipment and the technical standard do the rest. Not to mention the service team, who is 100% committed making each and every event a great success.
Talking about variety – there is so much more going on in this area: Within the development of My Smart City Graz – with Helmut List Halle as its centerpiece – a space of 8,2 hectare with nearly endless possibilities has been created: Not least because of the climate protection, a factor gaining more and more relevance within the last years. Within My Smart City, there is a huge focus on short distances, and therefore the establishment of living as well as office spaces, local suppliers and perfect infrastructure when it comes to public transport.
