The group included representatives from associations as well as big companies organizing events worldwide, serving the fast-growing Chinese congress market. During scheduled B2B meetings, several ACVB members, representing some of the leading Greek tourism companies, had the opportunity to connect with the Chinese buyers to begin establishing new collaborations.
During their stay in Athens, the guests had the chance to discover the dynamic advantages of Athens as a destination. The group visited some of the city’s most well-known conference and hotel venues and had a taste of Athenian food, spirits, and hospitality. A walking tour in Athens’ Plaka neighbourhood gave them a glimpse of the city’s cultural identity and local lifestyle.
The ACVB has been working to increase contact with significant international markets, including the Chinese market. The aim is to bid for several conferences and corporate events, promoting the competitive advantages of Athens in the international market while boosting the existing tourist infrastructures and local economy.
