Last Friday night once again the events industry was celebrated during Bea World Festival 2019, the global contest powered by ADC Group awarding the best events and the best locations of the year worldwide. Over 500 delegates attended the ceremony hosted on the stage of The Mall, one of the ‘coolest’ event venues in Milan, located in the heart of Porta Nuova.

For the first time in its history, Bea World Festival took place in Milan within the first edition of Live Communication Week, the new format inaugurated with Bea Italy Festival (26th – 27th November), dedicated to the Italian event industry. The theme ‘Nature of Events’ determined the content of the whole Live Communication Week 2019 and particularly of Bea World Festival on November 29th. Speakers from both inside and outside the events industry talked about the why, how and what of cooperation, which is the nature of the events. A wide variety of workshops to boost creativity and learning.

After a full day of live presentations and voting and very intense debate, the Jury Panel led by Alexander Safonov, Global Event Director Oriflame Cosmetics, proclaimed the winners of 2019, a record breaking year in terms of countries represented (30 across the globe) with 160 shortlisted entries competing for the prestigious Elephant trophies.

“The Jury decided to award SD Worx Intimate Concerts for its capability to create a unique experience and emotions. The event industry is more and more related to engage people through experiences and emotions than selling products and the Best Event Awards is the most incredible occasion to discover this trend” explains Alexander Safonov, Global Event Director Oriflame Cosmetics.

1st place

The Bea World Grand Prix 2019 went to SD Worx Intimate Concerts an event by The Oval Office from Belgium for SD Worx SME Belgium.

2nd place

The 2nd Grand Prix went to Nightmare in Burger King by Cow Events for Lola Mullenlowe, Spain.

3rd place

The 3nd Grand Prix went to Ecovidrio Blessed Bathrooms by Auriga for Ecovidrio, Spain.

This amazing edition gave the ICONIC EVENT AWARD to Scarlet sails 2019 by The Channel Five for Press and Mass Media Cooperation of St. Petersburg Government, Russia.

The People’s Choice Award goes to AFCON EGYPT 2019 by CIRCO DE BAKUZA and Blink Experience for Synergy, France and the Best Event Agency goes to The Oval Office, Belgium.

This year, ADC Group has introduced the Elephant Prodige Award sponsored by Lavazza, a great platform for young talents from the international events industry. The competition aims at recognising the talent and creativity of the next generation of event professionals, as well as showcasing their skills to the whole live communications industry. Projects have been judged by the client and the winning team was crowned live during the Best Event Award ceremony.

All Jury members, chosen among corporate event and marketing managers from a representative range of sectors and countries, plus senior representatives of event agencies’ associations from different countries in the world, committed to abide by a Code of Ethics. The result was a transparent, live and face-to face competition that avoided conflicts between Jury members and candidates, by preventing jurors from corporations to vote for a project from their own company and jurors from associations to vote for projects from their own country.

The Award Ceremony has seen the presence of 40 countries showing the importance of the Festival as the unique international networking place where to be for celebrating the event industry and where creativity meets business.
