To mention that the hotel is located right next to the Congress centre of Salzburg and in close vicinity of the castle Mirabell than it is obvious that it has an excellent location. Because of the Congress centre Salzburg an unforgettable congress epicentre of the city. Salzburg is also rightly considered one of the most important cultural capitals of Europe. The city enjoys a great reputation due to its exceptional architecture and world-renowned cultural events and festivals. The location and size of the city allow you to reach all of the city’s attractions in a walking distance, which is also one of the advantages of the hotel.
Salzburg is known as one of the European transport hubs and therefore can be marked as excellent in terms of rail and road accessibility. The airline’s accessibility, which is perfectly complementing the Munich airport for intercontinental flights, is also solid. The traffic regulation in Salzburg is also one of the best in Europe and public transport is a perfect choice, as it really operates stressless. The hotel has its own hotel garage, and in the immediate vicinity are several options for parking your vehicle. We also recommend using the Salzburg Card, which allows you to see key city attractions, and at the same time free public transport.
COLD APPETIZER - Architecture and Aesthetics
The building dates back to the 19th century and dominates the rondo with its classical and minimalist architecture. The monolith facade has recently been thoroughly renovated and is now nicely incorporated into the urban area. The interior is well aligned with the exterior, while the functional design is dominated by the good 154 years of the hotel’s business. The real pearl is the hotel terrace with beautiful views over the panorama of Salzburg and the surrounding Alps. This is a great added value of the hotel as you can privatize the terrace and organize an attractive event.
WARM APPETIZER - Staff and culinary experience
Love and food go hand in hand and if you are also rewarded with exceptional panoramic views, breakfast is an extraordinary experience. In Hotel Pitter, this is well understood and you will not be disappointed in the pleasant atmosphere in terms of choice and quality of breakfast. Only the crowd can be occasionally problematic when the hotel is fully occupied. The offer of restaurants is also on an enviable level, and especially we have to congratulate the congress catering, which according to the variety of offer and quality is fully adapted to the needs of modern congress guests. Great.
MAIN DISH - Conference hotel service
Rooms are spacious and renovated in a modern style. Especially the bathroom, which is superb in size. If this was followed by hotel cosmetics, the experience would be complete. The centre of the convention centre is Pitter Saal, which can be divided into 6 small halls and provides an ideal height of 6.5 m. A particular feature is that individual parts can be changed in different colours. We also enjoyed an outdoor garden, representing the hotel’s added value and perfect for creative coffee breaks and more. In addition to the central hall, there are also 12 smaller halls, with a total area of 1,200 m2, which places the congressional part of the offer at Salzburg’s top.
DESSERT – The extras
Extremely fast internet, which really works without errors and it’s in spite of the digital revolution still hard to find in other hotels. The transfer rate is 2 x 100 Mbit.
FLOP – NEGATIVE SURPRISES
If there are many groups in the hotel, crowds at the reception can be a considerable problem due to limited space, which the staff saves with a lot of good will and positive energy.
TOP – POSITIVE SURPRISES
The Pitter Keller Restaurant is a traditional pub which is connected with the congress centre with escalators. The traditional menu is nicely complemented by congress cuisine.
OVERALL IMPRESSION AND CREDIBILITY
The place of the musical genius of Mozart, the priest Joseph Mohr, who wrote the text of the Holy Night, Paracelsus the alchemist, not to mention the chocolate balls known to the whole world, deserves an excellent business hotel. The hotel, which was thoroughly renovated between 2014 and 2018, is today one of the city’s key congress hotels. This is primarily thanks to the exceptional congress centre that impresses with its concept, superior technology and level of service. In any case, anyone who owes spaciousness, flexibility and superior service will not be disappointed by the family-owned and run Hotel Pitter.
