Simon Kromer will take over as marketing manager for the USA and Canada at the Vienna Tourist Board’s Vienna Convention Bureau with immediate effect.

In his new role, Kromer (32) is responsible for marketing the Meeting Destination Vienna brand in the American and Canadian incoming markets. In North America he will present the destination at fairs, trade workshops and congresses, and organize fam trips and site inspections in Vienna in his capacity as the contact person for meeting planners and event agencies. He will also work closely with various partners in the Vienna meetings industry in a range of areas.

Before taking up his new position, the Vienna native spent nine years working for various Austrian and international hotel operators, most recently occupying the post of deputy head of the Hotel InterContinental Vienna sales department. Kromer graduated with a BA in Tourism Management from the FHWien of the WKW university of applied sciences.
