a new book by Krzysztof Celuch about the importance of interpersonal relations in the meetings industry

The book Let Convention Bureaus Flourish. Ensure Positive Interpersonal Relations” by Krzysztof Celuch presents the results of two years of research on building interpersonal relations in the meetings industry on the example of the convention bureau. Krzysztof highlighted the unique characteristics of the Business Events industry drawing on his extensive academic research to demonstrate how interpersonal relationships are the beating heart of what we do for a living.

Within six chapters, the author presents an analysis of management sciences in the context of interpersonal relations and the role of the competitiveness of organizations in the 21st century, defines the meetings industry, presents the convention bureaus as an example of effectively operating organizations, thanks to long-term internal interpersonal relations. It presents the results of empirical research conducted around the world, both in the context of one respondent and the entire organization.

The book shows that in organizations such as the convention bureau, people managing them must focus on managing relationships, because business success depends on them.

About Krzysztof

Krzysztof joined the meetings industry as a tour leader for a number of DMC’s in 2000 following a short career as an events coordinator in the SPA centre. As a journalist over a period of six years he published more than 100 articles about the meetings and events industry. Besides his active role in MPI Poland and SITE, he is a lecturer in events management at the VISTULA University based in Warsaw and the CEO at Celuch Consulting.
