The launch of the preliminary programme for the Velo-city 2020 Ljubljana conference – the annual global cycling summit of the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) has been announced. The conference will take place between 2nd and 5th June 2020 in Ljubljana, Slovenia and will be a unique week of cycling discussions and knowledge exchange.

The organisers have received a high number of excellent submissions that were tied together into a programme of more than 60 sessions of different formats. The main theme of the Velo-city 2020 Ljubljana conference Smart Cycling Inclusion, will hit the ground running at the opening plenary with the same title. It will then be explored and questioned from various angles throughout the week until the closing plenary that will try to offer some answers on how to achieve smart and inclusive cycling governance in the future.

To enhance the programme and stretch the legs of the participants, five different cycling Technical Visits will be prepared. The participants will get a chance to discover their surroundings on a bike and learn about the steps that have already been made and some changes that are still in the making to transform Ljubljana into an inclusive, green and cycle-friendly city of the future. Participation in the Technical Visits is on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to register fast and reserve your spot!
