During the time when all hotels have to remain closed due to the coronavirus outbreak, Regent Porto Montenegro wanted to stay in touch with its guests. They decided that they still wanted to enrich people’s lives with their food and thus used the hotel’s social networks for the Regent Porto Montenegro online cooking school. Twice a week, short videos of simple meal preparation tutorials are posted on the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the Regent Hotel while detailed recipes can be found on the hotel’s website.
The culinary team of the Regent Hotel prepares simple meals to motivate passionate chefs and those who aspire to become one to spend the time of isolation at home in a useful and creative way. Željko Knezović, Food and Drink Manager at Regent Porto Montenegro emphasizes “We are grateful to the hotel guests and the visitors of our restaurant for their loyalty so far and this was the only way to bring the gastronomic philosophy of the Regent Hotel to life during this time: through social media. Our menus are based on the region’s gastronomic heritage, fresh and local foods and a short cooking time to retain the original flavours. All of these are ideal prerequisites for making short but inspiring videos and continue to convey the gastronomic authenticity of the Regent Hotel.”
