FORMER CASINO
House of Scientists — former casino for Lviv’s elite — is one of the most stunning buildings in Lviv. It is recognized as a valuable neo-baroque architectural icon. The building was designed and executed by the famous Austrian company Fellner and Helmer in 1898. Every hall impresses visitors with its originality and elegance. The Salon on the first floor is a long hall with gilding balcony for the orchestra and a fireplace.
On the second floor there are 3 beautiful halls: a Conference hall (Theater hall) with a stage, which used to be a place for concerts and drama; White hall with a fireplace and a grand piano; gala Red hall; beautiful and cosy: Blue hall with antique furniture and the Meeting room for the House of Scientists’ Council.
There is a cosy underground restaurant Art Maestro (100 pers. capacity) that can serve be a perfect place to relax after a conference. The perfectly preserved elements of the interior, grand conference halls, and cosy restaurant make the former casino a great choice for special conventions.
