LEGENDARY BREWERY DATING BACK TO 1715
Lvivarnya is one of the top-notch museum complexes that have no parallels in Ukraine. The idea behind the exhibition and the wording of tours is straightforward: Lvivarnya has collected everything of interest that has to do with either Lviv or beer. Some exhibits are interactive and playable, such as the living engraving, the shadow theatre and the 3D-hologram. The legendary brewery was founded in 1715. King John II Casimir granted the monks of the Jesuit order the decisive right to build a brewery on the outskirts of Lviv where the present owners are still brewing their “own and fine” beer.
For over 300 years, the Lviv Brewery has been the authentic symbol of the city of Lev and an active philanthropic organization, helping the cultural capital of Ukraine improve its touristic appeal. The enterprise is one of the three production sites of Carlsberg Ukraine that is preserving and multiplying Lviv’s beer traditions.
