At the end of March, the 4th The Slovenia Restaurant Award selection for 2020/21 by public vote was drawn to a close. Given the unforeseen COVID-19 epidemic the traditional closing ceremony with a conference and unique dinner experience had to be altered. Despite the challenging circumstances, The Slovenia team still wanted to honour the best Slovenian restaurants and chefs, who are also the pride of Slovenia with their charitable actions during the pandemic. They prepared a virtual version of the award ceremony and a virtual closing ceremony.
The Deloitte audit house counted all the votes received and confirmed the results. The regional finalists will be announced on a weekly basis and all the participants in this year’s selection will be invited to the virtual closing ceremony. For the very first time, the virtual closing event will be available for viewing to the general public and everyone who voted for the restaurants will also be invited to join. The virtual event and award ceremony will take place on June 2, more about the program and guests will be announced in due course.
