Poland has reached the final stage of its efforts to obtain the rights to organize the European Congress of Andrology ECA in Lublin in 2022. The ECA Congress is organized every two years and gathers around 400 delegates each time. It has never taken place in Poland before.

The organizer of the Congress is the European Academy of Andrology EAA, existing since 1992 and bringing together people interested in this field and professionally active within it. It is a non-profit organization that aims to promote research and educate doctors and the public to bring the problem of men’s health closer. The scientific scope of the EAA is global, but the main area of organizational activity is Europe.

The leader of the project is the Polish Society of Andrology whose chairman, Dr Szymon Bakalczuk is from Lublin and who became the Polish Congress Ambassador this year. The initiator of efforts to attract the event to Poland is Symposium Cracoviense, a PCO operating in Poland for over 20 years. In response to the needs of the changing reality, Symposium Cracoviense has recently created a new “Safety & Security Protocol”. It is a document in which the company shows how in the “new normal” it cares equally for the safety of conference participants and the financial security of the events in which it is involved.

The bid will be presented by Dr Bakalczuk during this year’s virtual ECA Congress taking place 7-9 December 2020 in Münster, Germany.
