Further to the information given previously since August 2020 and in accordance with the ICCA Articles of Association and By-laws, please find below a list of candidates who are standing for (re-)election on the ICCA Board during the 59th (Virtual) General Assembly of ICCA in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Monday 19 October 2020 from 2pm until 3.30pm CET.

The call for elections will be sent out to the sectors and regions which will be holding elections, no later than Thursday 24 September 2020.

PRESIDENCY – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:

• James Rees, ExCel London (UK)

Since James Rees is the only candidate, he will automatically be re-elected as the ICCA President for the coming two years (2022). This will be his last term.

SECTORS

Transport – one vacancy
One candidate came forward:

• Marta Wisniewska, LOT Polish Airlines (Poland)

Since Marta Wisniewska is the only candidate, she will automatically be elected as the BoD representative for the coming two years (2022). This will be her first term.

Destination Marketing – one vacancy

Two candidates came forward:
• Aileen Crawford, Glasgow Convention Bureau (UK)
• Corne Koch, Cape Town & Western Cape Convention Bureau (South Africa)

Since there are two candidates, there will be an election for the position of BoD representative Destination Marketing.

Meetings Management – two vacancies
Three candidates came forward:

• Eyal Halevy, Paragon Group (Switzerland)
• Ben Goedegebuure, Maritz Global Events (USA)
• Anna Gorska, Symposium Cracoviense (Poland)

Since there are three candidates, there will be an election for the two positions of BoD representative Meetings Management.

Venues – two vacancies
Three candidates have come forward:

• Anja Stas, Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp (Belgium)
• Jonas Scharf, Congress Center Basel (Switzerland)
• Angeline van den Broecke, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (Malaysia)

Since there are three candidates, there will be an election for the two positions of BoD representative Venues.

GEOGRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIVES

Africa – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:

• Lindiwe Rakharebe, Durban International Convention Centre (South Africa)

Since Lindiwe Rakharebe is the only candidate, she will automatically be re-elected as the BoD representative for the coming two years (2022). This will be her first term.

Europe – one vacancy
One candidate has come forward:

• Marta Gomes, Palais des Congress de Paris – VIPARIS (France)

Since Marta Gomes is the only candidate, she will automatically be re-elected as the BoD representative for the coming two years (2022). This will be her last term.

Asia Pacific – one vacancy
Two candidates have come forward:

• Kitty Wong, K&A International Co, Ltd (Chinese Taipei)
• Dato Sri Abdul Khani bin Daud, Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Malaysia)

Since there are two candidates, there will be an election for the position of BoD representative the Asia Pacific.
