Gastronomy as one of the key elements of Slovenian tourism
Yesterday, 12 October 2020, SITE NITE North America took place. SITE NITE is an online event playing an anchor role in the new PlanetIMEX platform. It is a key initiative in the calendar of the SITE Foundation and a great opportunity to bring the community together – to connect, learn and discover, as well as generate vital funds for SITE Foundation’s work in research, education and advocacy. For the first time ever, SNNA took place in an online form.
With the support of the Slovenian Tourist Board, the Slovenian Convention Bureau became a proud sponsor of SNNA – providing Slovenia with an excellent opportunity to present itself as one of the most attractive incentive destinations in Europe.
In the kitchen with Miha Kovačič and Mojmir Šiftar
Despite being one of the youngest SITE Chapters, Slovenia got a chance to hold an interesting 30-minute presentation that reached over 2000 SITE members and was shared throughout social media.
Miha Kovačič, Head of the Slovenian Convention Bureau and President of SITE Slovenia Chapter in Formation was joined by Mojmir Šiftar from Kaval Group. Mojmir is an amazing chef and rising star in Slovenian gastronomy, who showed Miha how to prepare two authentic Slovenian dishes.
