The Centre was rewarded for its “Extraordinary Collaboration” which entailed a tri-partite collaboration it initiated and formalised with Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and International Association of Professional Congress Organisers (IAPCO), which was aimed to address a deficient in the provision of professional congress organisers (PCO) in Malaysia to service international congresses and conferences.
The partnership provided an accessible and affordable solution to advance professional standards and skills to address this gap through the IAPCO webEDGE online education platform. The partnership provides a globally accredited learning solution enabling Malaysian industry professionals to further enhance their skills set and to elevate the standards of knowledge and expertise of Malaysian PCOs to match the industry’s international requirements and demands.
Developing and transforming the national business events industry through professional development and educational exchange programmes has always been one of the Centre’s key areas of business focus. This winning collaborative partnership, which was launched in May 2020 is the latest of the Centre’s initiatives in this regard.
