The December fair held in Maribor will present products under the “Our Finest” brand
The eagerly anticipated festive December will look different this year throughout European cities. In the past, Maribor hosted an array of various events, creating a holiday atmosphere for locals, as well as foreigners. This year, according to the health and safety regulations, Maribor Tourist Board is preparing the Christmas fair. From 3 – 30 December 2020, Maribor’s Main Square and Rotovž Square will be the venues for the gift-fair “DARIBOR 2020”, where a select number of local providers will present themselves and their products. The event’s realisation is largely dependent on the epidemiological situation.
Maribor Tourist Board launched the collective brand “Our Finest” in July 2020. The brand strives to offer a comprehensive and quality gastronomic choice for visitors.
The creative brand follows the “Originally Slovene” model and encourages the development and cohesion between local providers, as well as developing new products and services. Their goal is to improve the overall quality of the offer and make business ideas a reality. The sustainable approach includes encouraging local food supplies and self-sufficiency.
The December festival will primarily highlight products with the certificate “Our Finest”, such as:
– products with handicraft certificates, awarded by The Chamber of Craft and -Small Business of Slovenia and other hand-made products
– locally and regionally produced culinary products
– toys with the national certificate “quality toy”
– products with herbs (tea, cosmetics, personal hygiene)
– Christmas gifts and ornaments
