Participants Engagement At Creative Workshops

Slovenia has been known for centuries as a country of beekeepers, who take care of bees year-round. You can join one of them and become a beekeeper for a day. At the outskirts of Maribor, on the wine road in Vodole, stands a farm, named “Sunny Paradise” (Sončni raj), that was abandoned for many years. However, recently, the new owners, Petra and Bogdan, brought it back to life and opened it to visitors. “Sunny Paradise” is the largest park of indigenous melliferous plants in Štajerska and, therefore, an ideal place for the bees. You will find out about the life of bees, where honey is produced and how bees hatch. You will also make your own set of favourite types of honey prepared at the Sončni Raj estate.

Working with wood connects people with nature and serves as meditation with a tangible result in the end. The Esen Woodcraft atelier located in the vicinity of Maribor is where the owners Matija and Tine will welcome you to the enchanting and aromatic world of wood. Their love of wood results in unique and functional wooden products.

The owners are more than happy to share their passion for wood with visitors. With their help, you will transform a piece of Slovenian wood (walnut, cherry and maple wood) into a useful kitchen tool, a piece of jewellery or a similar versatile product. The wood workshop will awake the creativity inside you, and you will be amazed by what your hands can produce. At the end of the creative workshop, the final product will be yours to take home. The workshop is also suitable as a team-building for business organisations.

Chocolate is not a typical product of Slovenia, but the way it is used and presented can be unique and creative. That is precisely what they do at the “Teta Frida” chocolate manufactory. The unique location beside the Maribor lake and the Drava river is the first WOW you experience. The following one is when you make your own chocolate masterpiece in the Chocolate Experience Center.

Last, but not least Aunt Frida’s will spoil you at her chocolate coffee shop with 100% natural creations: pastries, ice cream and chocolate products. You can invite your team to the Chocolate Village for more than just a day, to experience an overnight stay in the glamping houses by the river or between the tree canopies. The chocolate adventure is waiting for you!
