The need to bring associations together in any way possible is greater than ever in this difficult time. And that is one of the main objectives of the Geneva International Association Forum (GIAF), an event conceived to create a Geneva-based and international/ European association community to share knowledge and best practices as well as design joint initiatives to tackle common challenges.

GIAF’s latest addition to its strategic partnerships is with the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB), which comes on board as an exclusive Asia Destination Partner to offer collaboration, engagement and support to GIAF’s goals. The SECB partnership came naturally as Singapore’s well-established role as a regional destination providing innovative solutions for business events fits perfectly with GIAF’s goals.

Carrie Kwik, Executive Director Europe of the Singapore Tourism Board “We are proud to be the exclusive Asia Destination Partner of GIAF. The partnership with GIAF will allow us to deepen the connections between Singapore and the international association community-based in Geneva and the region. The impact of COVID-19 has been unprecedented and this partnership will be instrumental in laying a strong foundation for the recovery of our events industry. We look forward to sharing insights, co-creating content and establishing new collaborations within the association sector, and showcasing Singapore as a dynamic business events destination.”

Kai Troll, the spokesperson of GIAF and President of ASSOCIATIONWORLD, commented: “We are very excited about the partnership with the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau. Singapore remains one of the world’s most popular and appealing destinations for international associations. The Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau have established itself as the premier association hub in Asia, and the strategic fit between GIAF and SECB is evident. We are looking forward to the partnership and collaboration with a focus on co-creation, prompting added value and impactful engagement with associations. Associations and association professionals, the right people and partners involved are always at the core of what we do, what we co-create and the success of it. We, therefore, thank the SECB for seeing great value in the partnership opportunity with GIAF. We couldn’t be more enthusiastic that the Asia region is represented by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau.”
