Office spaces can be quite pricey, especially if you don’t need to be at the office every single day. Slovenian startup Opti. Space developed a platform for people who occasionally need a space to work. Through the Opti. Space platform you will be able to find the perfect working space for your needs and reserve it without any issues.

Opti.Space offers a simple and easy way for users to find the working space, which fits all their requirements, no matter where they are. The Opti.Space platform is available worldwide, not only in Slovenia and it enables its users to find short-term rental and leasing of professionally equipped space.

Slovenian platform Opti.Space works in a similar principle as Airbnb and it enables entrepreneurs who are just beginning their business path to significantly reduce their initial costs associated with renting an office in the city centre. The spaces that are available on the Opti.Space platform are equipped for different types of processions.

Opti.Space platform was founded by Sabina Veronika Golob, who is also the CEO of this Slovenian startup. When asked where she got the idea for the company she said: “Even when I was employed, I realized how difficult it is to find spaces that would be suitable for activities such as “teambuilding” or “brainstorming”. We said to ourselves that it would be great to have all offers in one place; that everyone can see existing options, the prices and that it is possible to make a reservation immediately. Similar to Airbnb in the tourism industry, we want it for business.”

Similar to Airbnb, Opti.Space offers automated options to reserve office space, automatic syncing of calendars and data, which shows space availability. Furthermore, cancellations, reporting and billing are also done automatically through the Opti.Space platform.

Leveraging their proprietary technology, they are building a unique closed ecosystem of reservations and users, so once a therapy room is fully booked by an existing circle of customers, it can go into “invisible mode” for others but current users continue to use it in our system. This helps keep the number of total space users low and trust within that circle high. One of the initial test customers reached rent to break even in the first month of using the Opti. space marketplace platform.

Spaces for young entrepreneurs and therapists

“Opti.Space offers great opportunities for short-term office and space rentals, which come at a lower price. Therefore, the platform surely comes as a solution for young entrepreneurs who are just launching their company or need an office space from time to time for business meetings and conference calls with potential clients or investors. However, those aren’t the only users of the Opti.Space platform,” says Sabina Veronika Golob, CEO of Opti.Space.

With 50% therapy sessions moving online, healthcare professionals such as psychotherapists, psychologists or even masseuses are finding the cost of full-time office rents or location ownership less sustainable. With unallocated time, these properties are ideal for use by other professionals who require a setup with a couch or room for a massage table, instead of the typical co-working space and conference combo most prevalent in the market. Opti.Space developed software which enables sharing a therapy space among 10+ professionals, including a marketplace and scheduling feature.

The service is currently being introduced in Germany, in the Frankfurt area. With plans to expand to the USA taking shape. Opti.Space projects that going forward customers in those markets will create 4,2 Billion bookings annually, and they are focusing on getting a piece of that new market.
