With millions of workers shifting to remote work, having the right technology in place to power their work and meetings is absolutely critical. In today’s work environment, it has never been more important to connect and collaborate, no matter how, where or when we work together.

That’s why we are excited about the announcement today of Cisco’s intent to acquire Slido to further our shared vision of transforming the virtual meetings experience and making sure everyone’s voice gets heard, no matter the size of the meeting.

Joining the communications pioneer

For almost four decades, Cisco has been a pioneering company that shaped the Internet and communications as we know them today. From Webex’s inception, it has defined video conferencing and become a leading solution with nearly 600 million participants in October 2020, almost double the number from March 2020.

Cisco’s mission to power an inclusive future for all and vision to make Webex experiences that are 10x better than in-person meetings is something that deeply resonates with us and we are excited to join them on their journey.

Peter Komornik

Slido CEO

“We believe that the way we work has changed forever. In the years to come, much of our work will happen on video calls and virtual meetings. We realized that if we want to impact millions of lives for the better and truly transform how meetings and events are run around the World, we will need a strong partner. Therefore, we are excited to join Cisco once the acquisition is complete. We can’t wait to start working together to help them transform the virtual meetings experience,” commented Peter Komornik, Slido CEO.

Slido to remain as a standalone platform

While we will become part of Cisco and integrate into the Webex platform once the acquisition is closed, we are committed to improving our core product experience and supporting our customers, no matter what tools they use in their business.

Cisco understands the value of supporting Slido as a standalone product and building great integrations with other virtual meeting and presentation platforms. We are grateful to all of you for being with us on our journey so far. We look forward to becoming part of Cisco as we work to create the future of interactive meetings together.
