Cyprus is getting ready to open up to visitors again

The Meet in Cyprus virtual event on 14th and 15th April is designed to whet your appetites and give you and your clients a taste of what to expect.

Meet in Cyprus is the first-ever Cyprus virtual showcase and will offer visitors a range of interactive experiences. Aside from individual video meetings with hotels, DMCs, PCOs and other industry professionals, buyers can visit the media centre and access great visual material that shows what the destination has to offer.

An integral part of any visit to Cyprus is experiencing the culinary treasures and taking part in interactive food experiences where you get to see, smell, feel and taste the very essence of Cyprus culture.

Visitors of Meet in Cyprus will be able to join a range of live culinary workshops during the exhibition and learn how to make healthy vegan versions of Cypriot favourites, sinfully delicious local sweets and meet a local celebrity chef who is developing an incredible new project.

And if this is not enough to tempt you; they also have video workshops that will show you how to make coffee Cyprus style and introduce you to a wonderful selection of street food. Of course, no meal in Cyprus is complete without famous local tipples so you can also learn about the world’s oldest named wine and find out how to make a Bozi cocktail with local firewater.

Whilst the organisers know that nothing beats a live event, they are confident that Meet in Cyprus will be the next best thing. They have designed the programme to be as close as possible to a live show in hope that the interactive experiences will keep the visitors going until it is time for them to get on a plane and visit again. It is a great opportunity to meet industry stakeholders and to discover all the new and exciting developments that have happened over the last year.

“We are ready to show the world that Cyprus is here, Cyprus is open, and Cyprus is safe for meetings and events.”

CIMA has a permanent seat at the Cyprus Convention Bureau’s advisory committee, under the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, with the aim to promote MICE on the island.
