Scandic Hotel in the „Macherei“ Munich

Scandic is continuing its expansion course in Germany and will open the first Scandic Hotel in Munich in 2021. The 4* hotel with 234 rooms, a restaurant and a rooftop bar with a view of the Alps will be built in the new office and commercial area “Macherei” in the east of Munich – with loft offices, co-working space, gastronomy and conference areas. Munich-born New York architect Matthias Hollwich has created the hotel’s design, making it an eye-catcher in the “Macherei”: 10 storeys in the design of stacked and interlocking cardboard boxes that perfectly match the brick look of the “Macherei”.
