THE FLAIR OF MEDIEVAL WALLS

In the heart of Pinzgau, you will find Kaprun Castle, which was built in the 12th century. It has become a popular event location in recent years after intensive renovation and restoration work. Corporations and companies from home and abroad use the castle for company celebrations or large-scale events. The flair of the medieval walls is an excellent backdrop for a top-class cultural programme of the finest kind. The castle association rents out the castle and the rooms at affordable prices.

The castle is particularly suitable for hire for large company celebrations and anniversaries, congresses, presentations (fashion shows, exhibitions, symposia, etc.), weddings, cultural events (concerts, theatre, readings, etc.), parties, festivities of all kinds, and much more.

The construction of Kaprun Castle is assumed to have taken place around the 12th century, as the east tower shows Romanesque criteria. In 1280, the “Turn zu Chaprunne” is mentioned in documents as compensation for the encroachments of the Velbers. The castle was probably initially owned by the Counts of Falkenstein or Peilstein.
