Outdoor Experiences by the Bosphorus
Celebrating its 30th anniversary under the management of Kempinski Hotels, the legendary hotel Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul is welcoming the first blossoms of spring with experiential outdoor activities. The only Ottoman imperial hotel and palace hotel on the shores of the Bosphorus, with its striking location and extensive grounds, has a history dating back to the 17th century. Once hosting sultans, the iconic hotel is now offering unique outdoor experiences such as “the luxury picnic” or the brand-new pop-up Berthold.
Luxurious Picnic Experience by the Bosphorus
With comfortable and colourful cushions in verdant gardens, a feast full of delicious food and beverage options as well as the bespoke Çırağan Palace’s service, the luxurious picnic is offered to those who enjoy being outdoors with their loved ones – be it for a special event, a birthday or a family reunion right next to the magnificent Bosphorus. Tasting different types of cheese, delicious bread from the ovens of Çırağan Palace, salads with meat and seafood, vegetable dishes or handmade chocolates in this unique place is hard to beat. (Price starts at EUR 99 + VAT per person).
Berthold – a Brand-new Pop-up Venue
Another exciting outdoor venue on warm spring evenings is the new pop-up Berthold in the Palace gardens set against the backdrop of a breathtaking Bosphorus vista. Named after Berthold Kempinski, founder of Kempinski Hotels and one of Berlin’s most innovative restaurateurs in the beginning of the 20th century, this three-wheeler was rebuilt with special parts from abroad to relate the story of Kempinski with a modern twist. With its wonderful ambience and comfortable and cosy seating area, Berthold offers a unique pop-up joint concept, Bosphorus views and Turkish wines by the glass, sourced from local boutique wineries from all around Turkey. Also on offer are delicatessen and cheese varieties, various sandwiches or hot dogs.
