Fascination for driving culture

In the north of Munich – ideally connected to the highway network and public transport – the AMERON München Motorworld combines the fascination for driving culture with the highest hotel comfort.

Each AMERON hotel is unique and is characterised by the individuality of its region while maintaining consistently high standards of quality, service, and hospitality. The interior design at the AMERON München Motorworld is determined by two significant influences: Firstly, the industrial character and style of the listed locomotive hall – some parts such as the steel girders remain in their original form – and secondly, the passion for automobiles, which is part of the basic idea behind MOTORWORLD. Thus, the “gaudy” paints of the cars of the 60s and 70s have been integrated into the public spaces as well as the rooms.

The 156 rooms, whose design is influenced in different ways by different eras of the automobility, offer an extraordinary view of the breathtaking hall of MOTORWORLD Munich, which is a listed building.

With the three Car & Bike Studios, the hotel offers a special option that is unique in this form in all of Bavaria: The 44 square metre studios are located on the ground floor and, with a garage and a living area of 24 square metres, offer not only guests but also their vehicles an exceptional hotel stay. The studios are directly connected to a design garage through a glass front and provide a view of the guest’s automobile during their stay.

Guests can enjoy culinary delights in the in-house trattoria & bar BACIO della MAMMA. The 150-square-metre Vitality Spa attracts guests with two saunas and a fitness studio. Delegates meet in “normal” times in one of the 19 conference rooms of the exclusive MOTORWORLD Munich event location, each of which can accommodate up to 120 guests. The Dampfdom is suitable for events with up to 2,400 people.

The ZENITH is known far beyond Munich as a concert and event hall and is a jewel among Munich’s venues for events, shows, concerts, trade fairs and much more due to its special architectural features. It is 4,130 square metres in size and can accommodate up to 5,880 people. The Dampfdom in MOTORWORLD Munich provides the ideal setting for lectures, congresses, concerts, meetings and much more, with a total of 1,590 square metres of space for up to 2,400 people.

In 2007, the renowned Kesselhaus was lovingly and lavishly converted into an event location. The Kesselhaus was designed at the beginning of the last century by the important architects Theodor Fischer and Otto Ernst Schweier – its heavy steel frame construction is still impressive today. The location can accommodate 1,300 people on 970 square metres.

The fascinating event space Kohlebunker aesthetically combines history with modernity. Since April 2016, the “post-war ruin”, which served as a coal storage facility for the German Federal Railway until 1995, has functioned as a modern event location. The combination of the stone walls built in 1915 with the modern glass building perfectly complements the charm of the entire historic MOTORWORLD ensemble at the Munich location with its 1,042 square metres (440 pax).

Mobility has been attributed to Gebäude 79 from the very beginning, as it was the seat of the administration, working locker room and washing facilities, as well as a non-public control centre. After extensive refurbishment and renovation, Gebäude 79, including two modern event locations (Driver’s Hall and small Lokhalle), was opened in autumn 2019.
