OUTDOOR EVENTS CAN AGAIN BE HELD WITH UP TO 500 GUESTS
The Berlin Senate has recently announced its decision to reopen Berlin’s hotels for tourists from 11 June 2021.
From 11 June, Berlin’s hotels can again offer overnight stays for tourists with no limits on occupancy rates. The outdoor areas of restaurants, bars and cafés in Berlin have already been open since 21 May. From Friday 4 June, they can now open indoor areas as well. From the weekend, outdoor events can again be held with up to 500 guests and indoor events with up to 100 guests. Many museums, exhibitions and attractions have already opened, and city tours and boat tours are again on offer. The hotel, restaurant and tourism sector is well prepared with systematic hygiene concepts to ensure guests can enjoy a safe stay in the city.
Burkhard Kieker, CEO of visitBerlin, commented: “At long last, Berlin can again receive visitors from all over the world. We are already seeing a sharp rise in hotel bookings in Germany’s capital city and we look forward to welcoming our guests once again.”
