Cankarjev dom – CD Cultural and Congress Centre Ljubljana hosts between 9 and 11 June 2021 an online conference Enerstock 2021 organized by University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and by National Institute of Chemistry, Department of Inorganice Chemistry and Technology, Slovenia. The 15th International Conference on Energy Storage is this time titled ‘Towards Smarter Solutions’ and features an impressive number of distinguished experts.
Experts will through online software OnAIR present to international participants the latest scientific and techonological achievements, as well as future trends and prospects in thermal and electrical energy storage, materials, applications and systems, climate change, climate policies and other related disciplines. Besides plenary and invited lectures, the participants will present their work at various oral presentations and poster sessions, while the program will include a range of exhibitions and updates from non-academic partners and the industry. Cankarjev dom will additionally provide the participants with special experience: they will have an opportunity to join a virtual tour of Ljubljana.
Besides the conference, Cankarjev dom is at the same time a host to the 13th Exhibition Charm of Wood (Čar lesa). The popular and renowned exhibition, yearly hosted and co-organised in Cankarjev dom, is this year taking place between 7 and 10 June. The exhibition promotes wood and wood products with a focus on raising consumer awareness of the sustainable aspect of wood use and promoting the recycle and use of wooden products. In addition to the exhibition, the organizers annually prepare an accompanying programme full of expert consultations and roundtable discussion on wood and lectures and workshops for children.
