Gut Murhof was built in 1898 as a manor house focusing on horse breeding. In the middle of the 20th century, the manor house gained international fame under its owner Baron Gustav Hanstein. During the restoration in 2012, the designers focused chiefly on preserving the charm of the iconic building.
Whether in the restaurant, furnished like a traditional Styrian tavern, in the conservatory or the idyllic pond house: Every guest will find their favourite place to enjoy. The garden in the castle park offers 60 seats, the conservatory ten seats, the two salons each five seats and the parlours about 45 seats. For private events, the venue’s pond house offers 30 seats directly by the little lake.
Take a stroll through the 18,000 m² parks, past the stud farm, the natural pond, the tennis courts and the romantic orangery or walk down to the Mur River. The shores of the lake provide a genuine spectacle of nature throughout the year. G’Schlössl Murtal also makes for a perfect starting point to a bicycle ride.
