EVENTS INSPIRED BY THE GENIUS WHO CHANGED THE WORLD
Nikola Tesla is recognised as one of the world’s greatest visionaries and innovators. During his lifetime, Tesla mostly worked in the USA, where he patented more than 300 inventions. In Smiljan, the birthplace of the great inventor, the Memorial Center Nikola Tesla showcases Tesla’s early life and his greatest inventions and achievements that helped shape the world of technology. The center is designed to combine culture, science and tourism.
The Birth house of Nikola Tesla boasts a permanent interactive exhibit, showing the life path of the great inventor. His genius is presented in images, words and sounds on the ground floor of the house. The top floor of the house holds replicas of Tesla’s inventions that changed the world forever and are the foundation for cutting edge technologies even today.
Guided by the desire to preserve the life and work of Nikola Tesla on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s birth the City of Gospic, inaugurated the Nikola Tesla Memorial Center on July 10th, 2006. The memorial center is also home to a new multimedia center suitable for hosting events in the embrace of Tesla’s innovations. The theater room can also be used as a conference hall and is perfect for meetings, congresses and workshops.
