ESVS elects Ega worldwide congresses & events as Core PCO

The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) has elected Ega worldwide as their new Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) for the next years. The first Annual Meeting under the sign of this new cooperation will take place in September 2022 at the Convention Centre La Nuvola in Rome.

The ESVS Annual Meeting is a scientific conference attended by vascular specialists from all around the world and held in a different European city every year. In Hamburg (Germany) at the last in-person meeting in 2019, about 1.800 participants from 68 countries enjoyed for 3 days a comprehensive scientific programme with 17 Symposia, 7 Scientific sessions, 2 Honorary lectures, 9 Nurses & Sonographer Sessions, 2 European Vascular Surgeons in Training (EVST) Sessions as well as 280 oral presentations from selected abstracts and 203 e-poster presentations. The 2022 edition in Rome will be the first full in-person meeting after the virtual 2020 and the hybrid 2021 version in Rotterdam.

Maarit Venermo, General Secretary of ESVS and Professor for Vascular Surgery at the Helsinki University hospital says: “We look very much forward to work with Ega worldwide congresses & events as our new Core PCO which will advise us on the further development of our Annual Meeting.”
