The Event Industry Alliance (EIA), comprising the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA), the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) and the Association of Event Venues (AEV), has announced today that the new edition of its ‘All Secure Standard’ guidance has been prepared by AEO, AEV & ESSA in line with guidance published by DCMS / Government, and is now publicly available.

Necessitated by the UK moving to step 4 of the Covid roadmap, the UK Operations Working Group and the Cross Association H&S Group collaboratively reviewed the existing All Secure Standard document and updated the guidance to encompass the latest developments in government Covid-19 restrictions.

Andrew Harrison, ESSA director, welcomed the new guidance saying “Collectively the AEO, AEV and ESSA and their members have led the industry on standardising and embedding how business events can be run safely and securely during the pandemic. This new edition of the All Secure Standard recognises the changes in the national and international pandemic situation, and ensures event industry businesses have approved and agreed guidance to work to, regardless of their sector or specialism.”

The All Secure Standard outlines the measures show organisers are taking to ensure the health and safety of all visitors, exhibitors, contractors and staff, particularly in response to COVID-19; how these measures are being implemented; and why having an All Secure Standard is important to the industry’s recovery from the pandemic and its preparedness for the future.
