Guests at the Prague Marriott Hotel, which is now open for business, can look forward to a brand-new experience thanks to a major refurbishment of the premises and a wide range of additional offers. With new health and safety measures also introduced, visiting the new-look Prague Marriott is a unique experience for domestic and international travellers alike. The overall cost of the refurbishment reached approximately 25 million euros.
The Marriott’s refurbishment and expansion has added 123 new rooms and suites to the hotel, taking the total number up to 416. Many of the new rooms feature balconies and terraces allowing guests to enjoy views of the old town spires. The lobby area has meanwhile been completely transformed into a new ‘Great Room’ concept: a welcoming, open space where guests can relax, dine, work and meet. The entire refurbishment was inspired by elegant modern design, incorporating wooden floors, muted colours, and sleek, tasteful décor.
Marriott’s transformation also includes a new signature restaurant. The Artisan, a modern, sustainable Czech culinary experience using high-quality local produce and fresh seasonal ingredients including herbs grown in the restaurant’s own “urban cultivator” and an open plan “theatre kitchen”. The Artisan is run by Executive Chef David Rejhon, who has a wealth of experience from roles in prestigious establishments around the world. The Artisan’s Sunday brunches have already proved a hit, and they will soon be joined by special ‘Afternoon Teas’ in the traditional British style, served with an Artisanal twist.
The Marriott also features a new bar, serving some of the finest cocktails in the city, while the Corner café serves freshly brewed coffee, house-made cakes and healthy snacks, which can be enjoyed in the hotel’s outdoor seating areas. And to celebrate the arrival of summer, a ‘Secret Garden’ pop-up terrace has been introduced in a hidden courtyard of the hotel which is available for private hires and serves barbecue specials and summer drinks.
The new-look Marriott also features a renovated and expanded conference floor with 2,000 square metres of premium meeting space. Facilities include two ballrooms, the larger of which has capacity for up to 600 delegates, and a range of breakout rooms and boardrooms ideal for smaller meetings, incorporating copious natural daylight and modern technology. Outside, the pre-function area is perfect for anything from coffee breaks and lunches, to cocktail receptions and exhibitions.
The refurbished and expanded Marriott’s new offer to guests is complemented by strict cleaning and hygiene standards using the latest technologies. The Marriott’s BonVoy app allows guests to make specific requests prior to arrival, choose their room, check-in electronically, and even access their rooms using mobile key technology, providing them with added comfort and peace of mind throughout their stay.
