This is the second year in succession that BCEC has taken out the national title of Australia’s best for Banqueting & Catering. The Centre was also named State winner for its three national award categories and for the Association Event of the Year Award for World of Drones & Robotic Congress 2020.
The awards, which recognise outstanding achievements and expertise of individuals and organisations in the events sector were streamed live to a national audience.
Co-Founder of the World of Drones & Robotics Congress, Carillon Conference Management Director, Ashley Gordon said: “From the launch of the World of Drones Congress in 2017 the intent was to foster international trade opportunities for Queensland based industries in drone technology and development, and this has been accomplished and recognised by this Event Legacy award.”
Bob O’Keeffe said the Centre was tracking well on the road to recovery, but lockdowns and restrictions were disrupters. “I believe expediating the vaccine rollout is the pathway back to business and I am confident we will emerge from this crisis stronger than ever, doing what we do best, delivering great conference and event experiences.”
“We would like to acknowledge and thank our many loyal clients and colleagues who continue to support us as we navigate an ever-changing landscape on our road to recovery.”
