Bad Hofgastein tried to make the best possible use of the last months of the Corona crisis. Thus, investments were made not only in numerous hotels in the region, but also in the Bad Hofgastein Congress Center. To be precise: one million euros.

Since the construction of the congress centre in 1994, only minor renovations and adaptations have been carried out to date. But the current renovation and the investment of one million euros have changed a lot in the congress centre in the Gastein Valley.

With newly designed and modernized rooms, new multimedia equipment, lighting and sound technology, a state of the art congress centre have been available for events, Conferences & Seminars since spring 2021.

As part of the modernization, among other things, the congress hall, the reading room and the foyer were completely renewed. Additional seminar rooms have also been created in the basement. As a result, around 1,200 m2 of space is now available for events of all kinds with up to 300 people. In combination with the Kursaal, a total area for events with up to 600 people is achieved.

The premises in detail

The congress hall is the largest room with about 400 m2 and can be flexibly divided into four smaller meeting rooms. Due to the additional rail system, all these rooms can be designed in different sizes – according to the requirements of the organizer. The multimedia equipment can be controlled individually for each segment of the room.

Six new seminar rooms

The six seminar rooms are between 45 m2 and 100 m2 in size, have daylight and the latest multimedia equipment. Some of this equipment consists of mobile technology units in order to ensure the best possible flexibility. Two of the rooms can also be connected to form a large meeting room.

The two foyers on the first floor and basement have a total area of around 500 m2 and can be used as exhibition space or catering area.

“We are very pleased that the members of the spa and tourism association have agreed to this bold step into the future.”

The new congress centre in Bad Hofgastein also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of technology. Thus, the location in the Gastein Valley is also prepared for all current and future challenges. Even virtual and hybrid meetings and events are no longer an obstacle.

The current investments are not only intended to attract new events, but above all to upgrade existing congresses, such as the European Health Forum Gastein, the largest health congress in Europe, or the Mercedes dealer conference.
