LOCATION
Hotel Livada Prestige is located in the northeast of Slovenia in the heart of the idyllic Prekmurje, a region famed for its thermo-mineral water and pristine nature. Terme 3000, the largest thermal complex in Slovenia, was developed on this basis. 39 pools and over 13,000 m2 surface, an outdoor and indoor thermal park, all speak for themselves. In 2006, the spa was complemented by the only 5-star hotel in Prekmurje. The hotel is a true resort, surrounded by green ponds, a golf course and wellness. Tourism is the main economic activity, and Moravske Toplice will be a great starting point for discovering the whole of Prekmurje, offering something even for the most demanding incentive groups.
ACCESSIBILITY
Prekmurje is far away, but close to Central Slovenia. 200 kilometres from Ljubljana goes by swiftly on the highway. Furthermore, Prekmurje is close to the nearby capitals Vienna, Budapest and Zagreb. Prekmurje’s location is, in our opinion, an advantage. Most guests choose to arrive at Moravci by car. They are awaited by spacious parking with 83 parking spots in front of the hotel and 47 parking spots in the secure garage. When visiting the region, it is worth exploring and discovering more. Thus, choosing a bicycle to explore the surrounding plains is highly recommended. Public transport is also significantly improving every year and connects Murska Sobota and Moravci.
COLD STARTER - Architecture and aesthetics
Hotel Livada Prestige proudly stands next to its four-star neighbouring hotel Ajda and is intertwined with the surrounding complex, allowing guests to roam the thermal complex undisturbed. The hotel’s architecture is not spectacular; it follows the urbanistic design of the nearby buildings and their additions. That has its advantages and drawbacks. The latter is the relatively complicated orientation. A focal point of the hotel is the spacious and representative glass lobby, appearing as a mid-point between futurism and tradition. Once one gets accustomed to the hotel, the architecture starts appearing functional and thrills the guest, particularly by its thermal part of the story.
WARM ENTRÉE - The staff and the culinary experience
The locals are such that they would never leave you hungry. Due to the region’s position, and the abundance of sun, their smiles are considerably wider than in other regions. Indeed, the kindness and professionalism of the staff is remarkable and rarely seen elsewhere in Slovenia. The employees contribute substantially to the overall positive experience.
The culinary silver lining is the local cuisine, complemented by diet gastronomy and bioproducts. Quality, world-acclaimed local and foreign wines are the perfect addition to the excellent culinary offer. The above-average service at events will give you a taste of their offer. Their catering can easily be compared to the best in Slovenia. A well-balanced and diverse breakfast deserves special praise, particularly the local cuisine section.
MAIN COURSE – The meetings offering at the hotel
Hotel rooms
The rooms come in various categories and were recently refurbished. They stand out after their thermal bathrooms, featuring black water, the healing thermal water found in Moravske Toplice. They were designed to reminisce winter gardens next to terraces, which gives the room added value. Following the latest renovation, the colours in the room are pleasant, while the locally crafted straw ornaments and details complete the room. Likewise, the stylish furniture appears inviting, and business guests will be glad to find a spacious working area.
Meetings centre
The smaller congress hall Livada can capacitate up to 120 participants in a theatre setting. The congress capacities in the neighbouring hotel Ajda, where there are an additional five conference rooms, are sufficient for up to 190 participants. It is a shame that the architects did not consider a separate space that would include a registration area, a wardrobe and a foyer. Consequently, the hall and lobby have taken on this role. What we are perpetually impressed by were the several outdoor spots, where events can be organised. They have become particularly sought after the corona crisis. A highly flexible team will change the renovated Ajda restaurant into your next event venue. In short, the hotel offers a range of combinations that can rarely be found in smaller hotels.
DESSERT – The extras
Hotel Livada Prestige features two indoor and six outdoor pools. The black thermal water and its beneficial effects on the well-being of guests is one of the key reasons why you should bring your next event to Prekmurje. Event attendees can indulge in one of the most modern wellness centres, and relax during a classic, Thai or Ayurveda massage. The sauna world offers chromotherapy, a laconium, herbal, salt and infra-red sauna, as well as the classic Finnish and Turkish sauna.
FLOP – NEGATIVE SURPRISES
The hotel has immense potential for organising a variety of events. However, the technical equipment of halls does not allow this, as you will need to hire the equipment elsewhere for more demanding events. Our advice: the halls in Ajda Hotel deserve a more thorough renovation.

FINAL IMPRESSION AND CREDIBILITY
The five-star categorisation substantially raises guests’ expectations. Following our visit, we can state that the staff and wellness offer wholly justify the category. From the aspect of interior design and details, it would be great to see an eye-catching addition. The fact that the hotel is almost completely booked regularly, is a testament to the hotel’s success to cope with its competition. It is rather challenging to book a room, and we recommend making a reservation in advance.
Otherwise, the general feel in the hotel is pleasant. The architecture inside is open, spacious and inviting. We must admit that the entire complex offers plenty of space that can be used for your event. The staff deserve the highest praise, as they are Slovenian champs of attentiveness and kindness. Although the hotel is not among the freshest in Slovenia, it has numerous good attributes. Among others, it has everything you need for a supreme incentive. When it comes to incentives, it is among the best in the country. Since our last evaluation five years ago, the hotel has improved significantly.
