SLOVAKIA’S EVOLVING AVIATION INDUSTRY ON DISPLAY

A successful week dedicated to aviation took place in the Slovak pavilion at Expo Dubai. Slovak Aviation is one of the 11 topics showcased at Slovakia’s stand at Expo Dubai. Slovakia has in recent years become an important international player in the aviation sector.

The Slovak Aviation Industry Day professional program and panel discussions attracted the professional public and aviation leaders worldwide. They were prepared by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency under the leadership of Miroslav Beseda and Marek Pocklan.

One of Slovakia’s most renowned aviation companies, NisNisus Aero, has received an offer from Mexico to guard their border. Another important Slovakian aviation industry player is Virtual Reality Media, Inc. The Slovakia-based flight simulator manufacturer supplies its virtual reality equipment to the U.S. Air Force.

Another household name in the global aviation industry is Daniel Tomko’s TomarkAero. Their ultralight sports aircraft fly in Scandinavia, New Zealand and the USA. Their Viper SD4 aircraft was the first in Slovakia and even one of the few aircraft in Europe to be awarded the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) certificate.

Fastest aircraft in the world in its category made in Slovakia

The Shark.aero ultralight is the fastest aircraft in the world in its category. Simona Franková and Marek Franko from Slovakia, who are behind NG Aviation, have successfully taken on aviation giants during this period of digitalisation of aviation data and aviation maps.

The Slovakian stand at Expo Dubai

The most diverse World Expo ever, Expo Dubai is now open to more than 200 participants, including nations, multilateral organisations, academic institutions and businesses. For the first time in the 170-year history of World Expos, each participating country has its own pavilion – a dedicated space where it can showcase its culture and progress to the world, creating partnerships and exploring solutions relevant to its circumstances and people. Slovakia’s pavilion is sure to impress guests with an unparalleled technological experience.
