Despite the circumstances, the event will be attended by more than 150 participants – Croatian exhibitors from the meetings-incentives-events sector, international hosted buyers, keynote speakers, educators, and notable guests. This year’s edition includes new niches: boutique & luxury hotels as well as destination weddings – the products highly demanded by the upscale international market. During 3 days in March, they will participate in 1-to-1 online business meetings, lectures, networking events – with one goal: to present Croatia as an ideal meeting, events, luxury travel and unforgettable weddings European destination.
Unlike any other similar European event, MEETEX is the only event promoting Croatia as a meeting and event destination. The MEETEX live part is scheduled for May where the exhibitors will nominate the best buyers to welcome them to their destinations on three fam trips: in Dubrovnik area, Dalmatia, Istria and Kvarner – all of them gathering in Zagreb, the capital.
The speakers include Prof Dr Rob Davidson of MICE Knowledge, Dr Riina Iiloranta of Visit Finland as a Luxury Travel expert, Prof Dr Oliver Kesar of Faculty of Economy in Zagreb, Iva Kraljević Licardo, Croatian Wedding industry president, Ines Nanić of Dubrovnik Event, Ivana Kolar of Tourism 365 conference, Vanja Melnik, Destination wedding photographer, and some other interesting guests – some even related to Michelin stars gastronomy.
The event maintains cooperation with educational institutions enabling the students a glimpse into the industry and partnering with similar events like Tourism 365. In addition to its primal goal – business networking – MEETEX continues with education, knowledge transfers and updates, presenting Croatia as an ultimate meetings and events destination.
