The Sava Center project is attracting interest from the entire regional meetings industry. The long-awaited thorough reconstruction officially began on December 23. It was announced that the Sava Center will preserve its purpose in new splendour and boast the most modern conference halls in the region.

The interior of the new Sava Center will intertwine existing elements and solutions that have proven timeless with new and modern solutions. At the entrance, visitors will be greeted by a recognisable public space, a technological map of the world, long halls, a floating gallery space, and green surfaces that remain the key focus of the interior. Within the centre, the architectural design will feature concrete bridges and old and new elements with lots of daylight and greenery. The new lighting will pay homage to the original solutions in combination with waterfalls in order to create a balance with the sharp geometry of the existing concrete.

A banquet hall with a thousand seats will be built on the site of the former open restaurant. The biggest change, though, will come in the form of an unusual green oasis – the winter garden. Necessary changes that will alter the centre’s layout will divide Sava Center into the congress-cultural and business-commercial zones.

The investors will strive to find a balance between the old and the new. There will be halls that will remain true to their original image, such as the famous Great Hall, also known as the Blue Hall. Their significance has not dwindled despite all the turbulent changes in recent decades.

The essence of the new Sava Center is a balance between new market demands and existing facilities that have proven to be an integral part of the success story. The renovated walkway that will connect the Sava Center with the Crowne Plaza Hotel will enable the re-formation of a single entity, which will be a great competitive advantage in the market.
