The 13th anniversary of the opening of the Old Vine House

It has been 13 years since the opening of the House of the Old Vine, the facade of which houses the noblest vine in the world on Maribor’s Lent. More than 50,000 visitors a year flock to the famed site from all over the world. The Old Vine House is home to the richest collection of excellent Styrian wines.

The Old Vine House features a wine shop for its visitors with a tasting space. Visitors can choose from 200 various top-quality wines from 50 regional winemakers or attend guided tours of the rich wine heritage and admire the museum’s artefacts.

Even though there have not been as many guests as usual due to epidemiological restrictions, visitors from far and near are keen on knowing more about Maribor’s wine and culinary story in the upcoming months. With the situation gradually improving, guests can already look forward to The Old Vine Festival that will take place at the end of September. The festival encompasses theme nights dedicated to wine and culinary delights. In addition, the Old Vine House will host several wine-inspired nights throughout the summer.
