WorldHotels has announced that Hotel Damier in Kortrijk has joined its portfolio as its first Crafted property in Belgium. The charming hotel on the Grote Markt in Kortrijk is now part of the new WorldHotels Crafted collection.
The four-star Hotel Damier offers legendary charm with a personal touch and is centrally located on the Grand Place in Kortrijk, with a listed facade dating back to 1769. The history of Hotel Damier dates to 1398. The unique interior of the lobby was created by the renowned Kortrijk-based artwork studio “Kunstwerkstede Gebroeders De Coene”.

The historic Rococo façade dating from 1769
The hotel has 65 stylish rooms. All rooms and suites combine comfort and elegance with contemporary technology and are equipped with a separate bathroom with a bath and/or shower, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, and a laptop safe and guests have access to the hotel’s private parking. For the ultimate luxury feeling, all rooms are equipped with care products from the French cosmetics brand Clarins.
Behind the historic Rococo façade dating from 1769, the hotel also features a restaurant and brasserie. Brasserie Damier is directly accessible from the Grand Place and is a cosy, Parisian style bistro where you can enjoy classic bistro cuisine. Classic dishes are served with a contemporary touch. Lunch or dinner can also be enjoyed on the spacious, heated terrace, overlooking the Grand Place. Guests are treated to a sincere, familiar, and welcoming service, and can savour a heartwarming coffee, a delicious glass of wine or champagne or a surprising discovery from the exceptional range of single malt whiskeys. Unique are the Copperhead gins “Black Batch” and “Gibson” with blends specially designed by Yvan Vindevogel, the owner of the hotel, and available at Hotel Damier. In Restaurant Damier, cooking is done with the heart and without pretensions. Guests can enjoy a special dinner in the restaurant or on the heated indoor terrace with tasty and surprising dishes in an inviting ambience.
Sprezza is a high-end cocktail bar with an eclectic interior. Here guests are taken on a sensational experience and enjoy signature cocktails, an exquisite collection of whiskeys and unique rums and tequilas. Sprezza offers a wide variety of special homemade cocktails, low alcohol cocktails and mocktails, all prepared with passion. Also available at Sprezza is a special Copperhead Gin, The Copperhead Scarfes limited edition. Hotel Damier is proud to be the only cocktail bar in Belgium to serve ‘The Scarfes Limited Edition of Copperhead’.
