IN THE HEART OF OPATIJA
LOCATION
The hotel sits in the centre of Opatija, amid the largest resort managed by the Amadria Park hotel group. Together with its neighbouring hotels, Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta, Hotel Agava and Hotel Gardenija, they were joined into an offer dubbed Gastro World and Conference Park, which has become a sought-after place in the heart of Opatija. Everything is at arm’s reach, and guests can stroll through the mesmerising Angiolina park to reach the hotel group’s prestigious flagship, Hotel Milenij. Within the resort, visitors can enjoy the greatest concentration of restaurants, shops and tourist services in Opatija. That is why the location has become so favoured among event organisers. Should you organise your event in Hotel Royal, it will take place in the very heart of the riviera.
ACCESSIBILITY
Opatija is easily accessible by car, and guests need not fear the lack of parking space, as the hotel offers a payable parking garage, offering parking for 300 vehicles. The highway is a stone’s throw away, whence guests can head to Istria, Slovenia or continental Croatia. Rijeka Airport is 35 kilometres away, whereas the airport in Pula is situated 100 kilometres from Opatija. In the summer, both airports offer solid connections to the world; however, in the winter, guests will very likely have to opt for airports in Ljubljana, Trieste and Zagreb. If you are keen on walking, we warmly recommend strolling the seaside promenade to the centre of Opatija or Voloski. The hotel sits right next to the iconic seaside promenade.
COLD STARTER - Architecture and aesthetics
The architecture of Hotel Royal mimics a design typical of Austro-Hungarian villas, based on which tourism in Opatija developed. Its minimalist image beautifully merges with the colourful and eclectic surroundings. The terraces and public spaces are eye-catching, although their beauty is slightly diminished by the unrenovated villa next to it. Marble and lavish pieces of furniture dominate the interior, oozing the feeling of luxury. The private beach, likewise, emanates prestige. Hotel Royal’s eclectic architectural style is tailored to lovers of hotel glamour. The designers created a refined interior that contributes to the general well-being during a stay in the hotel, not to mention the views complementing it. The slogan less is more, cannot be ascribed to this hotel.
WARM ENTRÉE - The staff and the culinary experience
The professional personnel is always willing to help. Given the hotel was fully-booked and hosted an event during our stay, the check-in ran surprisingly smoothly. A few of the hotel’s individuals stood out, including the reception team. One of the hotel’s strong sides is the level of cleanliness. Breakfast is solid, although not the best compared to its competition. There is room for improvement in gastronomic experiences, considering the rich culinary story developed within the Amadria Park hotel group. Nonetheless, the diverse cuisine within the complex is a significant advantage.
MAIN COURSE – The meetings offering at the hotel
Hotel rooms
The hotel rooms can be considered classic hotel elegance or the so-called Four Seasons Style. Such a style includes massive furniture and wooden flooring, complemented by designer pieces of furniture and details that make the stay pleasant. Among such features is abundant lighting. The views from the rooms overlooking the Kvarner Gulf are priceless. An unforgettable experience is sitting on the room’s balcony and taking in the seaside view. The overall stay is enriched by a well-equipped bathroom that offers excellent cosmetics.
Meetings centre
Within the resort, guests will find one of the most technologically-advanced conference centres in Opatija, the Conference Park 25/7. It stretches on three floors and boasts nine plenary halls with the latest technology. The hotel itself is home to one of the largest halls in the city, the Royal Hall, which can seat up to 1000 attendees and is connected to the outdoor terrace. The terrace, spanning 500 m2, offers numerous layout combinations in warmer months. The meeting space is currently a meeting hotspot in Opatija and is immensely popular among event organisers.
DESSERT – The extras
The hotel’s added value is Gastro World, intertwining several inspiring restaurants and bars that can be privatised for events. These include Caffe, Juicy & Champagne Bar, Delicatessen ‘Bokunic’, Osteria Da Ugo and Beer Bar.
FLOP – NEGATIVE SURPRISES
The internet could work faster. In addition, the prices in 2022 have skyrocketed and no longer represent a good balance between price and quality.
TOP – POSITIVE SURPRISES
The offer of all Amadria hotels in Opatija is astonishing. Moreover, everything is accessible on foot. This year, the hotel group will offer its guests a petrol-infused ride in a Ferrari California across the picturesque streets of Opatija.
FINAL IMPRESSION AND CREDIBILITY
Hotel Royal is elegant, offers a quality stay and can thus be ranked among Opatija’s best. The interior is, put bluntly, incredibly inviting, while the refined ambient is a welcome addition. Boasting one of the largest meeting halls in Opatija gives it immense added value. Together with the nearby Conference Park 25/7, the offer is unmatched. The entire package is phenomenal and hardly has any drawbacks. Hotel Royal is a good compromise between quality, spaciousness and price. Guests will be pleasantly surprised by the holistic offer that Amadria has developed for meeting planners in Opatija.
