NEED TO KNOW 2022

Prague is the most attractive tourist and meeting destination in the Czech Republic. The capital city is known for its architectural monuments and living history, and it ranks among the most admired and greenest cities in Europe. Getting around Prague is simple: either walking and enjoying the city’s sights or using the public transportation system, ranked fifth-best in the world. Visitors can enjoy a meal with a pint of beer in a traditional brewery, or in a fine dining restaurant.

With its infrastructure, Prague can accommodate the most demanding events. The meeting options combine the historical and modern, cutting-edge technology features of Prague. Whatever type of meeting you plan, local suppliers are fully equipped to meet your highest requirements: whether a high-tech AV onsite or all-in-one services for hybrid or virtual events.

Prague’s universities and research centres also make the city an ideal destination for expert meetings on such topics as life sciences, emerging technologies, creative industries and knowledge-based business services. Prague is a picturesque and friendly city, simply ideal and ready for all types of meetings and incentive programs.

Enjoy the incentive programmers that are typical for Prague! Take a ride by Prague historical tram or vintage Czech cars, decorate your own glass product created in the famous Czech glassworks, have a pint of traditional Czech beer accompanied by the Czech cuisine tasting programme, or learn to play a violin etude of one of the Czech authors.

BEST KEPT SECRETS

Experts, fans, as well as the general public who follow the development of artificial intelligence have been using the word “robot” for an incredible 100 years. This word dates back to the era Czechoslovak Republic and was first used by none other than the acclaimed Czech writer Karel Čapek in his drama R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots), which was translated into 30 world languages.

However, the word robot, which is derived from the archaic term for labour – “robota”- is not the only Czech contribution to the fascinating world of robotics. The Czech Republic boasts many successes in this field and is an inspiration for the further development of robotics and artificial intelligence around the world.
