One of the leading Spanish hotel chains, Grupo Hotusa, managing the Eurostars Hotels brand, will take over Grand Hotel Union, Hotel Lev and uHotel for twenty years. Grand Hotel Union will not be renamed, whereas the other two hotels will operate under their brand.

Equinox real estate company leased the three hotels for 20 years with the possibility of two five-year extensions. “We believe we have a strategic partner with the know-how and an international business model that can bring additional guests to Ljubljana,” said Equinox director Matej Rigelnik.

Eurostars manages 235 hotels

The renowned Spanish hotel chain has 40 years of experience in various spheres of tourism. Their core business is represented by a hotel consortium founded in Barcelona in 1977.

Eurostars Hotels’ portfolio comprises 238 hotels on five continents. The company employs five thousand people. It is the leading hotel chain in Spain and ranks ninth in Europe.

The Spanish hotel chain decided on Ljubljana because of its invaluable history and heritage, superb location in the heart of Europe, developing economy and favourable environmental parameters.
