The largest hotel in Ljubljana, officialy named the Grand Plaza Hotel and Congress Center Ljubljana, opened on August 1. Featuring ten congress halls, a bar and restaurant, a fitness centre, a swimming pool and a spacious garage, it will strive to become the leading in the city.
Ljubljana’s hotel upswing comes after a visible increase in tourist interest. Ljubljana has been experiencing significant growth after the pandemic break. The prices to stay in the hotel for one night will range from 200 to 300 EUR. The interior, including the rooms, was the work of the company Alples from Železniki.
A Tower
The investor behind the newly constructed hotel is Zlatarna Celje. While initially there was talk of building a high-rise for businesses, it was later revealed that the investor was building a hotel.
Zlatarna Celje already built the Hotel Plaza Ljubljana in the area of the business and shopping centre BTC City years ago. At the end of 2015, the Radisson Blu brand took over the management, renaming the hotel Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Ljubljana.
