The return of face-to-face events

An eventful Autumn in Bratislava saw the city host numerous esteemed events. Among them, the city played host to the 8th Annual Conference of the International Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons, the 18th Scientific Meeting of the Diabetic Foot Study Group and the 18th Biennial TAPPI European PLACE.

The 8th Annual Conference of the International Association of Diabetic Foot Surgeons (IADFS) took place as a face-to-face meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia, between 14 and 16 September 2022. Crowne Plaza Belgrade’s spacious event halls and experienced event team ensured the event ran smoothly.

Experts, practitioners and companies involved in the aspects of surgery on the diabetic foot convened at the event. The scientific programme included keynote lectures, sessions from abstracts and industry symposia in an insightful programme.

After IADFS, the 18th Scientific Meeting of the Diabetic Foot Study Group, DFSG took centre stage at Crowne Plaza Belgrade. It brought together experts, practitioners and companies involved in the treatment of the diabetic foot. Professionals who attended the in-person meeting benefited from high-level scientific presentations, knowledge sharing and networking opportunities. A promising future for association events in Bratislava

In October, the Sheraton Bratislava Hotel, one of the city’s most sought-after hotels for organising events, played host to the European PLACE Conference. The event combined unparalleled technical content with truly unique networking opportunities. This year’s program focused on industry-shaping topics like recycling, sustainability and paper and film-based solutions.

The European PLACE Conference is the only event of its kind in Europe that focuses on Polymers, Laminations, Adhesives, Coatings and Extrusion. Speakers included not only experts from the industry but many leaders from universities. It offered a unique opportunity for attendees to engage in technical sessions and, more importantly, fruitful networking.
