Event professionals coming together in solidarity

In spring, the Finnish event agency TAPAUS OY realised a humanitarian project with the aim of raising funds to help Ukrainian families get back on their feet. Together with the Ukrainian event agency Plombir, they created an event that helped hundreds of lives. A charity street hockey tournament during, which over 40.000 EUR was raised.

The organisers invited people to gather groups of at least 6 people and play a game of hockey. The entry fee was 5.000 EUR per group and 50 EUR for spectators, who wanted to cheer on their favorite team.

“We feel close to our Ukrainian colleagues and we know we have to help them during these crazy times. The event industry is strong. Our colleagues from Kyiv became responsible for humanitarian help and its delivery all over Ukraine. We felt responsible to help them” said Timo Aalto, CEO at TAPAUS OY

“We are very grateful to our Finnish colleagues. It was the first event realized by our European colleagues, and I’m happy to say it was very successful. Thanks to this event, we managed to help more than 2000 families. The Finnish event agency TAPAUS OY and the Ukrainian event agency Plombir will be presenting their good practice case at the Amber Prize 2022 event, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia from 5 to 6 December 2022.


The Event industry Renaissance is a utopian but reachable reality, where the new generation of young, diverse agencies build meaningful change in the world through live meetings.

The organisers of Amber 2022 aim to shift the course of entrepreneurship and event planning through inspiring lectures and good practices that will be taking place at the event. This is what they call an Event Industry Renaissance.
