Today, Trieste is mostly known for its coffee, rather than the meetings industry. The geopolitical location could make Trieste a leading Adriatic congress destination, yet it is now being overtaken by less accessible and geographically located destinations. A solid infrastructure is a good foundation for development. The image of the city on the regional and world market needs to be improved. Key stakeholders will soon discover the new potential of the city as a meeting industry destination thanks to the Trieste Convention Center boosting the largest auditorium in North-Eastern Italy.
